Reading through the threads reminded me of an inexpensive beauty find that I came across a couple of years or so ago.

Chapstick. The Original Formula in the Black and White tube

While it feels yucky on my lips as a lip lubricant it performs great as a lip color primer.

It performs even better as an eyeshadow primer, in fact, just as well as any drugstore brand and many that several mineral makeup companies carry.

The high wax content not only protects the eye area but allows eyeshadows to adhere and remain true to color all day.
